DKAS is partnered with South Tyneside Council under the LABC partner Authority Scheme.

This is designed to help when dealing with many local authorities. The scheme allows DKAS to have a one to one working relationship with our preferred local authority with whom we have a long standing working relationship. 

The site inspections are carried out by the local authority where each project is based. This provides a single point of contact for all Building Control work in England and Wales with invaluable local and familiar contacts, unique access to the planning department, the highways engineers and local fire service. It also means simplified correspondence and faster resolution of queries.

DKAS will provide you with the information necessary to understand what is needed such as the statutory applications that you will be required to make by law.

You can then make an informed assessment of the work you require, with an idea of the cost and ultimately the decision on a way forward to achieving your requirement.

DKAS can provide services during any or all stages of your project, from inception to construction, and will tailor them to suit your specific needs. For example, DKAS can advise on design options and prepare the necessary drawings and documents to obtain full planning approval, or if you already have planning permission, DKAS can develop your approved drawings to add construction information to obtain Building Regulations approval. 

During construction work DKAS can undertake contract administration, site inspections and issue Architect’s Certificates to satisfy mortgage companies.

DKAS will produce a completely bespoke design, tailor made to you and your property.

CONSULTANCY TO OTHER PROFESIONALS

DKAS is employed by other Architectural Practices where specialist input is required including:

• Technical input and detailed design
• Production information - in form of detailed drawings, specifications and schedules for construction purposes. This may be done for specific elements of the work or "packages" such as external envelope, waterproofing, finishes etc.
• Site supervision and inspections.
