Employed by Mario Minchella Architects, Dene delivered a new landmark pavilion building in South Marine Park for MMA based upon their concept proposals.


Technical Specifications

  • Bespoke designed oak rainscreen cladding and folding recessed shutters allowing it to be fully secured whilst still offering an attractive appearance
  • Single ply, high performance roofing with "lead-like" appearance
  • Slim profile structure
  • Solar control glazed curtain walling allowing uninterrupted views of the lake to the front and the children's steam train to the rear

Project Details

With the large scale £4M restoration of the historic park via The Heritage Lottery Fund, the Client had seen an opportunity to improve and expand the well-established service that has been on the site for over thirty-five years from a kiosk in the old boat-house. To this end a new landmark building was requested.
